It's Summerween!

The name 'Summerween' originated from an episode of "Gravity Falls" appropriately titled "Summerween," which aired during the first season of the show.

Traditionally held on the last Friday in June, participants dress in costumes, play Halloween themed games, eat creative foods, and decorate with a spooky aesthetic.

Don't be limited by the date, though! Summerween can be celebrated any time during the summer. It is a holiday that pays homage to the approaching of another holiday. As long as your intent is upon Halloween, you're doing it right!

Should you decide to throw a party, heres some ideas!

Set up an outdoor screen and show classic horror movies or Halloween-themed films.  Organize a BBQ pool party with Halloween decorations. 

How cool would it be to get all of the like-minded neighbors organized so you could go trick or treating!

Decorations for Summerween are a must! Try blending the spooky aesthetics of Halloween with the vibrant and fun aspects of summer. Dress skeletons in beach wear! Make your paper lanterns into pumpkins! Use your imagination and have fun.

 Halloween-inspired treats with a summery twist are often part of the celebration. Think; jack-o-melons and orange-juice-and-blackberry popsicles. For the adults at the party  try using dark mixers like Blavod vodka or black raspberry liqueur.
